On this Thanksgiving amidst a challenging year, I feel incredibly thankful.
I am thankful that I am in a sport that can continue to move forward despite an international pandemic. Yes, there have been fewer races this year, but we as athletes did not stop. Not needing more than an open road, we continued to push onward toward our goals. This has not been the case for all sports, and I am thankful.
I am thankful for the athletes that stuck with EF despite economic uncertainty, cancelled races, and challenges to motivation. I know it was not an easy year for any of you which is why it means so much to me that we had a loyal following throughout. For this, I am thankful.
I am thankful for a brilliant staff who continually came up with creative ways to serve our athletes and customers better despite COVID. Together, we created virtual options, changed our practice policies, and leaned on each other for support. For this, I am thankful.
I am thankful that there is a bright future ahead. Yes, we are not out of the woods yet, but it is becoming more visible. I am thankful for 2020 and excited for 2021.
