Another big weekend for Team EF at the Rev 3 Salute The Military Triathlon and Kid’s Triathlon. The Stratford Hills 10k, Hibiscus 5 Miler, Autism 5k, Elizabeth River 10k, and the regional track meet.

 

Both EF adults and youth got the chance to race at the same venue this weekend thanks to the Rev 3 Salute Tri.  In the adult race, Coach Michael Harlow took the overall win on the men’s side, and the EF women taking 6 of the top 7 spots overall on the women’s side.  Grace Sheehy was 2nd overall, Katie Palavecino 3rd, Paige Lind 4th (1st age group), Kaitlyn Yasnowsky 5th (2nd age group), Sade Smith 6th (3rd age group), and Lexi Christie 7th overall.  Also placing in their age groups were Alex Tan (1st) and Coleson Lindsey (3rd).  We also had super strong races from Kenneth Steingold, Lexi Christie, Keagan Carroll, Anna Mihalovich, Kai Dove, Nick Gryski, and Jacob Crouch.

 

In the Kid’s Tri at the Salute Tri, EF almost swept the podium in the overall with Chandler Evans taking 1st, Andrea Rogerson taking 2nd and Annika Rogerson 3rd in the Little Kid’s Race.  In the Big Kid’s Race, it was a full EF sweep with Kai Dove in 1st, Joshua Gray 2nd, and Presley Evans 3rd on boy’s side, and Ava Larkin 1st, Emma Weaver 2nd, and Annalise Williams 3rd on the girl’s side.  In the age groups, Eva Mihalovich, Sarah Mihalovich, and Luke Craven all won their age groups; Hayden Weaver and Whitfield Evans took 2nd; Olivia Christie 4th; and Mark Mihalovich a strong race in 7th.

 

At the Stratford Hills 10k, Michelle Fang, Kathy Scourby, Andrea Wright, and Jackson Wright all had strong races.

 

At the region track meet, Johanna Lupica and Colby Burcham both earned all-region honors, advancing to the state finals in the 3200m.  Emily Whitty ran a strong leg in the 4X800m relay as well.

 

Bethy Vallejo had a big PR at the Hibiscus 5 Miler!

 

Eric Glymph came away with a big PR, 14th overall, and age group win in the Autism 5k.

 

Allyson Whitfield had a great 10k pushing her daughter, Ella, at the Elizabeth River 10k.
