Race Recap: October 6th – October 7th

Our athletes had an awesome weekend of racing! Major races include the Fall Classic and Crawlin Crab half marathons, the Chicago marathon, the Youth Olympic Games, and several high school XC and mountain bike races. Congrats to all our athletes! Let’s get started.

At the Woodberry XC Invite, Eloise Campbell posted a top 25 finish!

At the Festy, Whitney Mylum took first overall in the 10k, taking the overall win!

In the Fall Classic Half Marathon, Myles Baker had a very strong result in humid conditions on a hilly course.

Chris Clark posted a 7 min PR at the Crawlin Crab Half Marathon. Jacqueline Bethel also raced and finished strong at 1:49:38!

Speaking of half marathons, Andrew Rose had an awesome race at the Chicago Marathon, finishing in 2:54.

Logan White posted a season best at the Great American Invite!

At Trails and Ales, Nina Marino grabbed a PR!

Alexandra Poole posted a new PR in her XC race.

At the Youth Olympic Games, Michael coached Indiana athlete Drew Shellenberger as he took 7th in the men’s race. Parker Albright unfortunately did not finish due to taking in too much water at the start and not being able to catch a breath. Parker and Drew will be racing in the Mixed Team Relay representing the US again on the 11th- be sure to cheer them on!

At the NICA mountain bike race, Caleb McCaskill took 4th and Jake Dysart 5th in the JV race. Presley Evans took 15th in the middle school boys race and Maddie Fisher continued her winning streak with a 1st in the middle school girls race.

At the Healthy Kids Run Series, in the pre-k division, Colby Harlow took 8th.  In the K-1st division, Oliver Harlow took 16th and Paxton Harlow 17th both with PRs.  Ellie Harlow took the win in the 2-3rd grade division with a PR.  In the 4-5th grade division, Andrea Rogerson took 1st, Hadley Harlow 2nd, Austin Harlow 3rd, and Ariana Hotchfelder 8th with all running PRs.  In the middle school division, Caleb Harlow took 3rd with a PR on the boy’s side, and Hazel Wells took 1st followed by Anneliese Rogerson in 3rd on the girls side – Anneliese ran a PR.
