Megan is a 13 year old training with our Junior Elite team in Florida. This past weekend, Megan won the overall woman title at the 30th annual Escape From Ft. Desoto Triathlon. This race is one of the more popular and competitive triathlons in Florida with climbs up and down stairs of an old fort as part of the run. This was also the first race in the USAT Florida Talent ID series, where Megan earned Youth Champion (actually beat the Junior champ as well). Her off-season focus and preparation propelled her to this strong victory and it bodes well for the Junior Elite Cup at Richmond’s Liberty University Online Academy East Coast Triathlon Festival on May 1st. Megan is always a strong competitor and great team player who is always encouraging.
Our athlete of the week is Scott Evans! Scott has been with Endorphin Fitness for the last five years. Along with his sons Presley, Chandler, and Whitfield, Scott has been an awesome addition to our team. He and his sons are always working hard and focus on the next steps in their journey! Scott just had a huge breakthrough race at IM 70.3 Maine, going 4:44 at his first half. Since he just passed this milestone, we asked him a few questions about his journey, and enjoyed hearing some of his reflections.
