MATTHEW SCHILLER

Army Captain Matthew Schiller is one of the most hard working and driven people you will meet. He is a graduate of the West point Academy and is now studying to complete his Masters degree at Columbia University. He is married to his wife Emma who is also a Captain in the Army. Both he and Emma have served our country overseas. Last year Matt decided to take his triathlon training to a new level and work hard to train towards his overall potential. Since he started training with Endorphin Fitness he has rarely missed a workout and the improvement he has had is testament to his work ethic. Matt has had a breakthrough season with a 2nd place finish in the Super Seal Triathlon, 9th place finish in the Armed Forces Triathlon, 7th place in the New York City Triathlon, 8th in his age group in the USA Triathlon Olympic Distance National Championship and 2nd in his age group in the USAT Sprint Distance National Championship. In USAT Olympic nationals he improved from his 2015 performance of 27th in his age group and 211th overall to 8th in his age group and 44th overall in one year. He was also the 1st athlete to exit the water at the national championships which is an accomplishment in itself! We could not be more proud to coach an athlete like Matt with his triathlon performance just being a major plus. Having the opportunity to work with athletes that have risked their lives to protect our freedom as Americans is one of the most rewarding things we have done as coaches. We are excited to see what the future holds for Matt and look forward to the remaining races he has on his calendar for this year.
