Emily Landeryou has been training with Endorphin Fitness for over two years building on her tremendous success as a swimmer. In January, Emily was offered a spot to race at the CAMTRI North American Championship in Sarasota, FL. This is a race that she has always wanted to participate in as it would allow her to race the best in North America. She now had her opportunity, and she took advantage of it! Whether Emily is in the pool, on the bike or running on the track, she is always pushing herself to the next level. In doing so, she put herself in a position to have her best race ever! She was the healthiest she had been going into a race in over a year. This gave her confidence to race her race and hang with the best. In Sarasota, she came out of the water second and knew she had to hang on to the top pack on the bike. She pushed harder than she ever had on the bike to put her in a position to finish well and then ran her best 5k time ever (road race or triathlon)! In doing so, she finished 7th overall and was the first American female across the line which is a huge accomplishment. Emily’s hard work and leadership have driven her to the next level. Next year, Emily will be on West Point’s Swim and Triathlon teams.
