    Kylie’s fitness journey began in 2nd grade when she began swimming with Poseidon. She continued with swimming until 5th grade, when she began enjoying running much more. She began coaching by Endorphin Fitness in August of 2016, about a year and three months ago when her dad heard about Endorphin Fitness from one of his customers.

    Race Recap: November 23rd-November 26th

    Some athletes took a break this weekend to recharge and load up on nutrients. Some athletes tucked their post-Thanksgiving bellies in, braved the cold, and raced strong this weekend. Races included the Footlocker South Regional Championships, the Nike Invite, the 2017 MABRA Cyclocross Championship, MAC 5k, Manchester Road Race, The Front Street Mile Trials, at least five Turkey Trots, and a Northern VA Thanksgiving Day 5k!

    Michael’s Message – Gwen Jorgensen’s Move To The Marathon

    Recently, 2016 Olympic triathlon champion Gwen Jorgensen announced that she would not be returning to triathlon post pregnancy but instead pursuing the 2020 Olympic marathon team. Knowing my affinity for triathlon, you might assume I am quite disappointed, but this is not the case. I will share my thoughts here as I believe it makes some important points.

    Michael’s Message – More Than One

    I believe there is tremendous power in a team. Being responsible for more than oneself is a significant motivator. It drives us to dig deeper in training, racing, business, and life to accomplish more than we would for ourselves alone. And after the battle, the celebrations are sweeter when part of a team and the losses not quite as bad when you have others to shoulder them with. There is great power here.

    Matthew has been training with Endorphin Fitness for the past seven seasons. His fitness journey began at 287 pounds, relaxing on the beach when his friend’s wife suggested doing a triathlon with her. After watching an inspirational video of Rick and Dick Hoyt, a few laughs, and some encouraging words from friends, Matthew committed to triathlon. Next February, they began training.
