Another big weekend of races. The EF coached Liberty University Triathlon Team finished out an incredible season at the Liberty University Triathlon. Additionally, EF athletes raced well at Schooley Mill Cross, the Backyard Burn Trail Series, Ashland Harvest Run, the Healthy Kids Run Series, and across several middle and high school XC races.

The EF coached Liberty University team had a great finish to an incredible fall season this weekend! The team placed 4th overall for the championship race as well as 4th overall for the entire MACTC season out of 17 teams! Thomas Sonnery-Cottet and Megan Merryman both finished 2nd overall for the season! Well done team!!

EF coach Maggie Christie directed a 5k for a local school with two EF athletes participating. Ava Larkin won the overall female division and Ryan Pattan was 7th overall and first in his age group.
On Sunday, we had several EF athletes participate in Schooley Mill cross race with impressive results. Ava Larkin was third in her age group, Sade Smith was third in her age group in her second race of the day, and Jenna Free took 4th. Coach Anne placed 6th in her age group. Justin Free placed 10th in a pretty large field of juniors at his first cross race of the season. Sade Smith also raced the Cat4 women’s race and placed 22.
Shannon Baird had a strong race at the Fall Backyard Burn Trail Run series.

David Dabney completed his first 5k at the Ashland Harvest Run.

Several strong middle and high school XC races from EF athletes. Carson Everman finished out her season with a strong race at districts. Parker Albright took a 4th overall at the Running with The Wolves XC race. Eloise de Landevoisin Campbell, Ben Poling, Joshua Gray, Liam Savage, Maya Sweeney, Jonah Costen, Lauryn Nilson, and Emily Whitty all raced strong at the Milestat Invitational. Joshua, Ben, Liam, Lauryn, and Emily all had big PRs.

In the 3rd race of the Healthy Kids Running Series Richmond, we had our best race yet overall. In the Pre-K race, Colby Harlow finished a strong 12th. In the K-1st grade race, Brown Ukrop took his 3rd win of the season followed by Zach Fisher in 7th on the boys’ side, and Hazel Gillespie took her 2nd win followed by Ellie Harlow in 5th, Emilia Avitable in 16th, and Hattie Wells in 17th on the girls’ side. In the 2nd-3rd grade race, Brody Savage led the way in 5th followed by Ethan Wallace in 9th, Garrett Tambourline in 11th, and Cannen Harlow in 12th on the boys’ side while Hadley Harlow took 5th, Austin Harlow 10th, and Sofia Avitable 12th on the girls’ side. In the 4th-5th grade race, Luke Craven took his first win of the series followed by Patrick Harlow in 3rd, Colby Wallace 4th, Ian Henderson 6th, Jude Gillespie 7th, and Caleb Harlow 14th on the boys’ side while Maddie Fisher took 2nd, Hazel Wells 3rd, and Lauren Donald 10th on the girls’ side. Caroline Donald took 4th as well in the middle school race. It is important to note that Ellie Harlow, Hazel Gillespie, Emilia Avitable, Sofia Avitable, Hadley Harlow, Luke Craven, Jude Gillespie, Caleb Harlow, Hazel Wells, Lauren Donald, Caroline Donald, and Garrett Tambourline all set PRs this week while Colby Wallace and Brown Urkop matched their previous PR.
