EF athletes had monumental races all over the country and even one in Mexico this past weekend!

It was a strong day for EF athletes at the Richmond Marathon, Half Marathon, and 8k. 
• In the VCU Health 8k, Sarah Look ran an impressive PR capping off a huge season of PR’s! Scott Dixon ran the 8k as well, with a strong finish. Chloe Rameriz finished 2nd in AG. Dawn Carter also ran the 8K, and achieved a PR for the distance! Way to go athletes!
• In the Markel Half Marathon, Michelle Fang ran a season best! Angie Legaspi and Joel Legaspi ran together, both having strong races. Several big PRs – Matt Myers ran a 5-minute PR, Monica Woodward ran a PR of over 6 minutes, Allan Ng ran over a 2 minute PR, and Kathy Scourby finished with a 2 minute PR. Lauryn Nilson crushed her first half marathon with a time of 1:41.
• In the Anthem Marathon, Coach Ryan Middleton ran a blistering 2:43 to finish 19th overall and 1st in his age group. Matt Winheim ran a strong race coming in at 3:12. Heather Williams had a strong finish coming off of a Marine Corps Marathon finish just two weeks ago! Melanie Frank ran a PR only several weeks after a hot Chicago Marathon! Andrew Rose ran a 3:03, qualifying for Boston. Alex Lienert ran a 3:31, a new personal best. Myles Baker ran strong in his first completion of the marathon distance. Maggie Geohagen also had a strong finish in the marathon distance!

In the Vegas Half Marathon, Katie Palavecino finished 56th out of over 2000 in her Division. Awesome job Katie!

Katie Elliott raced the Long Course Aquabike National Championships in Miami taking an impressive 4th in her age group against the best in the country.

Coach Parker Spencer had a strong finish at Ironman Los Cabos taking 6th in his age group.

Several impressive results at XC Championship results….
In VA, congrats to Parker Albright who ran a dominant PR to take the VA state title! Abby Church finished 3rd overall in her division. Cooper Albright also ran a very strong race setting a course PR to finish 26th. Johanna Lupica had a strong race. Colby Burcham finished as top Sophomore behind all seniors with a 7th place overall finish and grabbing All-State honors. Connor Doyle finished an impressive 5th place overall, grabbing All-State honors as well.

At the Independent Schools Championships, Ben Poling, Hope Frost, Maya Sweeney, and Emily Merchant ran strong races with Hope taking 2nd in her division, Maya grabbing points that led her school to a state title, and Emily doing the same to lead her team to a runner-up finish. In New England, Alexandra Poole ran the New England Championships setting a PR to take 13th and advance to the New England All-Stars race next weekend.

In the Chesterfield County XC meet, Kylie Bonser, Jonathan Ryan, and Lucy Poh helped bring home the team title for both boys and girls teams. Bonser won the overall individual title with Ryan and Lucy finishing 10th and 13th respectively.

Lucas Pound took a big win at the Glocduro Enduro Mountain Bike race.  Congrats Lucas.

The results have been finalized for the Healthy Kids Running Series. Congrats to Hattie Wells, Zach Fisher, Patrick Harlow, Hazel Wells, Luke Craven, and Annaliese Rogerson who all won their divisions in the series. Also getting on the podium in the series, Ellie Harlow took 2nd, Andrea Rogerson 3rd, Theo Conradie 2nd, and Caleb Harlow 3rd. In the final race, in the Pre-K division, Colby Harlow took 12th. In the K-1st division, Hazel Wells took 1st, Lane Jacobs 3rd, and Emmerson Beazley 5th with a PR! In the 2nd-3rd grade division, Zach Fisher took 3rd on the boy’s side, and Ellie Harlow took 2nd, Andrea Rogerson 3rd, Hadley Harlow 4th, and Austin Harlow 6th on the girl’s side. In the 4th-5th grade division, Patrick Harlow took 1st, Theo Conradie 2nd (PR!!), Caleb Harlow 3rd (PR!!), and Cannen Harlow 10th (PR!!) on the boy’s side, and Hazel Wells took 1st followed by Annika Rogerson in 6th with a big PR on the girl’s side. In the middle school race, Luke Craven set another PR to take the win on the boy’s side and Annaliese Rogerson matched her PR to also take 1st on the girl’s side. Congrats to all!
