Six year old Ellie Harlow has been participating in races for a couple years now with her older brother who is part of Endorphin Fitness, but she just recently started practicing with the team. Also enjoying dance, Ellie is very competitive and always seeks to be the best she can possibly be. She has been attending Wednesday’s bike/run practice where her coach – Coach Sally – has noted how hard she works. This past fall, Ellie participated in the Healthy Kids Run Series finishing in the top 10 every race. When the spring series came around, Ellie was determined to finish higher so she set a goal before the race to get off the line in front. When the gun went off last Sunday, this is exactly what she did leading through the first 200 meters before getting passed by two girls on a corner. She did not give up though and caught one of the girls right before the finish line to take her best place yet. Awesome determination and awesome athlete.
